Beavers and Snakes

Last Thursday, We had Brian Melee come in and talk to the Beavers about his snakes.
It was the quietest I have ever seen most of the kids.
Brian did a great job and showed us quite a few of his snakes. the Kids had a great time and
Brian passed on loads of interesting information about his snakes.
Bubbles and Sunshine seemed to enjoy it and Bubbles even had a snake draped around her at the end.
We had a few of the cubs visit with us and even one of the scouts was with us for the evening.
Again a great time was had by all

Beaver Investiture

Here goes

(I think I may like this whole Blog idea)

The Beavers held their investiture last Thursday, and welcomed the new Beavers into the colony as well, the new leades were given their Colony names. Chip(Wayne), Bubbles(Tracy)
abd Ringtail(Steph) Were joined by Sunshine(Jeannette), Hawkeye (Gerry), and Smokey(Craig).
As well, the Beavers were divided into lodges, and had time to give each lodge a name. Scouter John was on Hand and helped to invest the new beavers.

Next up is Snake night with Brian Melee, and the sleepover at the Arena December 3rd. Pictures will Follow.

Beavers are going strong

Well, here goes, this is my first attempt to write anything for the blog.
The Beaver Colony is off and running and it looks like we will have a great year. We currently have 18 beavers, and the leader crisis appears to have been averted. Tracy and I have been joined by Steph Viau, Jeannette Bigras, and Gerry Brown, with the possibility of Craig McHugh joining as well. The Beavers had a Halloween party last week and great fun was had by all, The kids played games and had a snack at the end, while they were crushing the pinata.

This week is our investiture and tail ceremony. the Kids are all excited. Coming up is Brian Melee with his snakes, and the whitetail sleepover.
